What is a dental emergency?

If it hurts, it is an emergency! Even injuries that seem small can affect the living tissues inside the teeth. Any perceived damage to the tooth, whether it hurts or not, should also be reported. Chips or fractures of the teeth can affect the living tissue inside the tooth that can cause additional problems in the future. Dental emergencies also include any conditions that cause swelling or bleeding.

I have been seeing Dr. VanHaren and his wonderful team for my general dentistry for several years now.  The staff is awesome, as is Dr. VanHaren himself.  I always feel like my best interests are their top priority, I totally trust them. I am now working with Dr. VanHaren for my ortho as well, using one of the newer tray systems.  It’s nice to have one dentist that I am comfortable with that can handle everything related to my teeth.  The ortho process has been smooth and things are moving along as planned. I have consistent, excellent experiences at Van Haren dentistry I am made to feel comfortable and educated on advanced products that are designed to provide extra protection against tooth decay. I appreciate the hygienist I work with consistently, Megan. She is always professional, efficient, knowledgable, and kind. She can tell if techniques I am using are making difference from one visit to the next.
